#27 Weeks

How far along: 27 weeks!
Total weight gain: 1 pound in the last two weeks.
Maternity clothes: 90% time
Stretch marks: Just a tiny red mark near my belly piercing. I don't even have a mothers line! (yet)
Sleep: Whats that?
Best moment of this week: Shopping! Dropping $1,400 on baby stuff since we won't be have a baby shower nor getting help - Jared has been a god and really bought most of all the stuff on the registry. Hubby is amazing. It was his tax returns and he could have blown it on himself, and he didn't. He got a pair of work boots and a lot of it went to his son.
Miss anything: SLEEP.
Movement: SO much movement. My belly looks like something is literally trying to come out of it at times… - In my ribs or on my bladder.. he loves to move!
Food cravings: Back to fruit and smoothies. And white chedder popcorn.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Just my glucose test this morning. YUCK. That drink is nasty.
Have you started to show yet: Duh
Gender: Boy!!
Labor signs: Still just the Braxton Hicks. Lot's of back pain and muscle pain....
Belly button in or out: The top half of my belly button is out, bottom half is now starting to finally creep on out- I find it so amusing to touch. It's so soft! lol.
Wedding rings on or off: Off. Fingers are just swollen.
Happy or moody most of the time: Delighted. Nursery is almost done!!!
Looking forward to: Seeing this beautiful boy's face!!! <3

27 weeks pregnant

"At 27 weeks, baby is breathing (it’s amniotic fluid, not air, but it still counts) and even showing brain activity. You’ve got a lot on your brain, too, from wondering what labor and delivery is going to be like to trying to find the best pediatrician for baby. The annoying symptoms you’ve been having probably aren’t going away, but at least you’ve probably found some ways to deal with them -- and hey, maybe you’re used to them right now. As you say goodbye to the second trimester, you can look forward to some pretty embarrassing stuff (like having to pee all the time -- and maybe even when you don’t mean to at all) that’s all par for the late-pregnancy course. It’s time to head down the home stretch. Are you ready?" - thebump.com
Your baby's the size of a rutabaga!
At 13.6 to 14.8 inches and 1.5 to 2.5 pounds, she's not just getting bigger, she's getting smarter.

your baby at 27 weeks
  • She's practicing inhaling and exhaling with her rapidly developing lungs.
  • It's official: Baby's showing brain activity! And her brain will keep on getting more complex.

Spring is slowly coming... it's still raining and snow possibilities. I snapped this photo a week ago.. it's our tree in the backyard.
:)
Hello 3rd trimester!!!

#26 Weeks

How far along: 26 weeks!
Total weight gain: gained umm..yea...
Maternity clothes: Most of the time. Although the photo is a non maternity tank and it's getting stretched!
Stretch marks: No new ones yet other than the tiny one where my belly button piercing hole is which I guess it really normal.
Sleep: Still getting up every night to go pee and round ligament pain. Hard to breathe sometimes and sitting straight up is the only thing that seems to work.
Best moment of this week: Nothing really happened! But we go excited knowing Jared is getting his tax return money back which means getting more for the baby that we really need.
Miss anything: SLEEP.
Movement: SO much movement. My belly looks like something is literally trying to come out of it at times…
Food cravings: Soda which is awful! I really hate drinking soda in general and more so when pregnant but I did get a little Pepsi today.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Actually this week we went to Knoxville and I ended up getting really carsick and had horrible heartburn(still do) I had no Tums with me! I ended up puking at home. UGH. Not fun.
Have you started to show yet: Duh
Gender: Boy!!
Labor signs: Still just the Braxton Hicks. And not a labor sign but my milk colostrum has started to come in. Literally a drop or two but it has started which is amazing to know my body is truly getting ready for this baby.
Belly button in or out: The top half of my belly button is out, bottom half is now starting to finally creep on out- I find it so amusing to touch. It's so soft! lol.
Wedding rings on or off: I try to wear it in public because I don't want the impression that I'm pregnant and not married. I'm no hussy. hehehehe, But my fingers were so swollen today I couldn't get it on! So I use just cheap rings from target or something in a size up.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy! Other than being tired! Jared actually surprised me this morning and mop'd the floors.. missed spots but it's the thought that counts, right? :)
Looking forward to: SHOPPING for baby!

26 weeks pregnant

"Wow! Can you believe baby has eyelashes at 26 weeks? And she’s amping up to start batting them soon. At this point, it probably feels like this baby (who you haven’t even met yet) has taken over your life. She’s interfering with your sleep. She’s messing with your brain. (Forget much?) She might even be giving you a stress headache or two. It’s normal to be experiencing some mild swelling, but around week 26, it’s important to watch out for swelling severe or sudden -- it could be the sign of a dangerous condition called preeclampsia. Notice your belly occasionally feeling really tight? That’s a contraction. Yup, already. Don’t freak out though -- your body is just practicing some tightening in preparation for labor. As long as the contractions aren’t steady or severe, you’re not in labor." - thebump.com
Your baby's the size of a head of lettuce!
She's still growing in the 13.6- to 14.8-inch and 1.5- to 2.5-pound range, and developing her senses, features and talents!

your baby at 26 weeks
  • Her eyes are forming, and his eyes will soon start to open.
  • And her eyelashes are now grown, too.
  • She's getting her immune system ready for life on the outside by soaking up your antibodies.
  • She's taking breaths, too. They're of amniotic fluid, not air, but it's still good practice.

25 weeks pregnant

"You’re 25 weeks pregnant and it’s probably dawned on you that soon you’ll actually have to deliver this baby. (A little scary, but exciting!) What’s cool is that most hospitals will let you preregister, which means you can put in your paperwork early, so the day you go into labor, you don’t have to stand around filling out a bunch of forms before you get admitted. Maybe you’re getting nervous about delivery, or maybe it’s your haywire hormones, but you might start to have trouble sleeping around week 25. This is a common complaint of many moms-to-be. Some people will tell you that’s just your body’s way of prepping you for sleepless nights with baby, but those comments won’t help you get the rest you need! Experiment with different strategies for getting some sleep. One idea is to drink extra water early in the day, so you can start tapering off your intake as you get closer to bedtime. That way, you might need less bathroom breaks during the night and can keep sleeping. After all, now that baby’s crowding your bladder, you’ve got to pee. A lot." thebump.com
Your baby's the size of an cauliflower!
During month six, the average fetus measures about 13.6 inches to 14.8 inches and weighs about 1.5 to 2.5 pounds.

your baby at 25 weeks
  • She's enjoying her new sense of equilibrium -- she now knows which way is up and which is down.
  • She's growing more fat and more hair too!

 pregnancy symptoms at 25 weeks
  • Constipation. Be sure to eat plenty of fiber-rich foods!
  • Hemorrhoids -- baby is putting a ton of pressure on your digestive tract. And the constipation certainly isn't helping.
  • Gas and bloating. Your hormones are slowing down digestion, creating excess gas.
  • Heartburn. Since baby is pushing on your digestive system it can push stomach acid up your esophagus.
  • All-over aches and pains, thanks to hormone fluctuations.
  • Trouble sleeping. It's tough to get comfy with that big belly in the way!

Only Heartburn and Trouble sleeping for me so far!!!!!

Happy and Excited to be closer to meeting my child!

24 weeks pregnant

"Drink up! Around 24 weeks, your doctor will order a Glucose Tolerance Test -- one of the more memorable prenatal tests -- to see if you’re at risk for gestational diabetes. Basically, the test is designed to see how your body processes sugar, so you’ll be asked to drink a cup of a sweet drink called Glucola (which reminded us of Gatorade) and then hang out for an hour. Once the hour is up, you’ll have your blood drawn and then it will be tested to see how your body has processed the sugar. You know what’s also sweet? Those movements and kicks you’ve been feeling. They seem to get stronger every week. At week 24, baby’s progress isn’t just about internal stuff, it’s about her looks too. With pinker, more opaque skin, she’s looking more and more, well, like a baby. You, on the other hand, are probably experiencing some of the discomforts of the later months of pregnancy at week 24 -- leg cramps, backaches, swollen feet. Hang in there, mama-to-be!" thebump.com
your baby's the size of a cantaloupe!
Your 10.5-to-11.8-inch fetus weighs about 12.7 to 20.8 ounces and every week she gets closer and closer to being ready to survive (and thrive!) in the outside world

your baby at 24 weeks
  • Her see-through skin is gradually becoming more opaque.
  • And it's got a new pink glow, thanks to the small capillaries that have recently formed.

Happy or Moody most of the time:
Happy

Looking forward to: Just getting closer and closer to the due date. And getting the nursery finished little by little. It's so much fun!

your baby's the size of a grapefruit!
At about 10.5 to 11.8 inches and about 12.7 to 20.8 ounces, baby's not just getting bigger, she's getting even cuter.

"At 23 weeks, baby’s really getting ready for her big debut, listening in on what’s going on in the outside world. And you’re getting ready too. Just remember: While having the nursery painted and stocking it with diapers is important, there are some other pressing things you should have on your radar. Namely, financials. Around week 23 is a good time to call your and your partner’s insurance agent to check how you’re currently covered and decide what adjustments you’ll want to make for baby. You might also want to start thinking about writing a will, if you don’t have one, or updating your current one. How’s baby’s savings account going? If you’re like, “what savings account?” that’s okay. But decide whether or not you want to start one for her. One study found that kids who have their own savings account are more likely to go to college, and another one estimated the average cost of raising a baby until age 18 to be over $226,000. Whoa!" - thebump.com

your baby at 23 weeks
  • She's forming little nipples (yeah, really!)
  • Her face is fully formed now -- she just needs a little extra fat to fill it out.
  • She's listening to your voice and your heartbeat -- and even to loud sounds like cars honking and dogs barking.
